All sectors of human activity are capable of emitting air pollutants that can affect neighbouring areas: industrial activities, waste treatment and construction sites, transports (road, air and waterborne), domestic activities (particularly heating), agriculture and forestry. To measure atmospheric emissions – particulates and gases, Paris-Beauvais Airport relies on a network of sensors that currently consists of two fixed stations and two mobile stations. The first station is located at the airport entrance, opposite Terminal 1, as close as possible to the first residential properties in Tillé and to the airport’s air and road traffic. The second is situated not far from the refuelling depot. The mobile stations, meanwhile, are made available to neighbouring local authorities for ad hoc measurement campaigns. The pollutants measured are: · Particulate matter or fine particles (PM10 – PM2.5 – PM1). · Nitrogen monoxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂). · Volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

User information

This web portal provides access to air quality measurements from monitoring stations at Paris-Beauvais Airport. It aims to strengthen and ensure the effective management of the air quality monitoring system around the airport in compliance with regulatory requirements and the expectations of local residents. Paris-Beauvais Airport is a pioneer in this initiative, which it is currently the only airport in France to offer. To view the data, select the monitoring station of your choice on the map above. You can zoom in on the image using the mouse wheel or by clicking the + or – buttons on the left-hand side. Clicking once will bring up a window showing three weather indicators (temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure) and the latest pollutant readings, averaged over 15 minutes. Clicking on this window a second time will open the detailed metrics page.
